Cultivation

Cultivation

Great flower starts long before harvest.

Premium cannabis begins with genetics, but genetics only establish the potential. Realising that potential requires experienced cultivators who understand the plant and environments designed to give each cultivar the opportunity to perform.

Legacy’s cultivation approach combines the craft knowledge and hands-on attention associated with B.C. cannabis cultivation with disciplined production practices designed to improve quality, consistency and repeatability.

Throughout the cultivation cycle, our teams focus on the variables that ultimately define the finished flower. For instance, plant health, environmental conditions, cultivar performance, cannabinoid development, terpene expression, flower structure, and harvest readiness.

The objective isn’t simply maximum output. It’s to create the conditions necessary for each cultivar to express the characteristics that made us want to grow it in the first place.

Genetics set the potential. Cultivation brings it to life.

As Legacy’s production platform grows, we remain committed to protecting the cultivation knowledge, attention to detail and product-first mindset that established the reputation of Dunn Cannabis and Legacy BC Craft flower.

Craft isn’t defined by how much you grow.

It’s defined by how you grow it.

Harvest & post-harvest

The work doesn’t stop at harvest.

Some of the most important decisions affecting finished cannabis flower happen after the plant comes down.

Harvest
Harvest timing is determined by the plant—not simply the calendar. Our cultivation teams monitor flower development and maturity to determine the appropriate harvest window for each cultivar and production cycle.

14-Day Hang Dry
Following harvest, flower undergoes an approximately 14-day hang-dry process in an environmentally controlled setting. Careful management of the drying environment allows moisture to leave the plant gradually while helping protect flower structure, aroma, terpene expression and overall product quality.

Hand-Trimmed
Our premium whole flower is hand-trimmed to protect bud structure and presentation while allowing our team to carefully inspect the finished product.

Curing & Final Preparation
Following drying and trimming, flower moves through the appropriate curing and final preparation processes before grading, testing and commercial release.

The goal throughout post-harvest is simple: protect what we worked so hard to grow.
